The First Resolution on the Dakota contested election is reported by the Committee of Elections, laid on the table and printed; H. R. 24 is reported by the Committee on the Judiciary without amendment and recommitted to the same.
Resolved, That, inasmuch as neither Mr. Todd nor Mr. Jayne, claimants from Dakota Territory, are admitted to a seat in this House, neither of them be sworn now, but the whole subject be referred back to the Committee of Elections for a report upon the merits of the case.
