Resolved, That the invalidity of the register oftestimony taken as to Hon. James Brooks be recommitted to the fifCommittee of Elections, with dinstrict of the eighteenth ward ofuctions to report especially the facts as to the cityustom under the laws of New York would not of itself justifyof appointing inspectors of the rejgistry of elections nof the official returns ofsiding in the canvassers of thatparticular election district.

Resolved, That this case be recommitted ts in which they act; also the Committeat the of Elections to report upon supplementary proof, to be made as provided in the next resolution.

Resolved, That eithnt and sitting member party be authorizpermitted to tmake supplementary testimony respecproof of the casting the electionof legal votes in the fifteen15th district of the eighteen18th ward only, before the 10and that th day of May next, complying with the statmittee be authory regulations applicableized to the case: Provided, That fivprescribe the days' noticme of any proposed examinationmanner of witnesses shall be sufficienttaking the necessary testimony.
