Samuel Griffith

(February 14, 1816 — October 1, 1893) Samuel Griffith was a lawyer and public servant. Griffith was born in South Wales, Great Britain in 1816, and graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He practiced law after being admitted to the bar in 1846. Griffith was elected as a Democrat to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1871 to March 3, 1873.
