Joseph H. Tuthill

(February 25, 1811 — July 27, 1877) Joseph Hasbrouck Tuthill a businessman and politician. Tuthill was born in Orange County, New York in 1811. After obtaining an education, he worked in the mercantile business and in agriculture before moving to New York City in 1828. There, he continued to work in the mercantile industry. Tuthill was elected as a Democrat to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1871 to March 3, 1873.
