George W. Hendee
(November 30, 1832 — December 6, 1906) Hendee was an American politician and lawyer. George Hendee was born in Lamoille County, Vermont. He studied law and was admitted to the bar, when he practiced law in Morrisville, Vermont. He served as a member of the State House of Representatives (1861-1862), member of the State Senate (1866-1868), and Lieutenant Governor of Vermont (1869). Hendee was elected to the United States House of Representatives as a Republican from March 4, 1873 to March 3, 1879.
