Benjamin S. Turner

(March 17, 1825 — March 21, 1894) Turner was an American politician and businessman. Benjamin Turner was born in Weldon, North Carolina as a slave. He moved to Alabama in 1830 and became a mercantilist. He was elected as a Republican to the Forty-Second Congress from March 4, 1871 to March 3, 1873.
