Clinton L. Cobb
(August 25, 1842 — April 20, 1879) Cobb was an American politician and lawyer. Clinton Levering Cobb was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina in 1842. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was admitted to the bar in 1867. While practicing law in Elizabeth City, Cobb also was engaged in mercantile pursuits. He was elected as a Republican to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 4, 1869 to March 3, 1875.
