(21 March 1741 – 1 June 1790) Soldier, Representative in the Continental Congress and the U.S. House of Representatives, planter, and physician.

After a brief career as a soldier, Bland represented Virginia in the Continental Congress, in the House of Delegates, and at the Virginia convention for ratifying the U.S. Constitution. He was then elected to the House of Representatives as an Antifederalist.
