William McClelland

(March 2, 1842 — February 7, 1892) William McClelland was and American politician and lawyer. McClelland was born in Mount Jackson, Pennsylvania in 1842. He served in the Civil War, after which he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1870. A year later, he was elected as a Democrat to the United States House of Representatives and served from March 1871 to March 1873. After serving in Congress, McClelland continued to practice law until his death in 1892.
