Selucius Garfielde Visualize (December 8, 1822 — April 13, 1881) Garfielde was an American politician, lawyer, academic, and businessman. Selucius Garfielde was born in Addison County, Vermont and moved to the Washington Territory in 1857, after living in Ohio, Kentucky, and California. While in Kentucky, Garfielde was engaged in the newspaper business and served as a member of the State constitutional convention in 1849. After moving to California, he served as a member of the State House of Representatives in 1852, and was elected by the State Legislature to codify the laws of the State in 1853. Garfielde was elected as a Republican to Congress from March 4, 1869 to March 3, 1873. Obadiah B. McFadden Visualize (November 18, 1815 — June 25, 1875) McFadden was a politician and lawyer. Obadiah McFadden was born in Washington County, Pennsylvania. After studying law and being admitted to the bar in 1842, McFadden served was a member of the State House of Representatives (1843). He moved to the Oregon Territory in 1853 when he was appointed an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the territory. He was later appointed the Chief Justice of the Washington Territory Supreme Court from 1858 to 1861. McFadden was elected as a Democrat to Congress from March 4, 1873 to March 3, 1875.
