United States Fourteenth Amendment & The Civil Rights Act of 1866

(2 June, 1820 -- 6 April, 1892) Saulsbury was an American lawyer and politician. Saulsbury was born in Mispillion Hundred, Kent Country, Del.. After admittance to the bar, Saulsbury practiced in Georgetown, Delaware and became the Delaware attorney general from 1850-1855. Saulsbury was elected as a Democrat to the United States Senate in 1858 and was reelected in 1864, serving from March 4th, 1859 to March 3rd, 1871.
