Silas L. Niblack

The Civil Rights Act of 1875

(March 17, 1825 — February 13, 1883) Niblack was an American politician and lawyer. Silas Niblack was born in Georgia and moved to Florida after studying law and being admitted to the bar in 1851. While in Florida, he served as a judge of a county probate court in Columbia County, Florida. He successfully contested the election fo Josiah T. Walls to the Forty-Second Congress. He served as a Democrat in the United States House of Representatives from January 29, 1873 to March 3, 1873.
