DRAFT MEDIA RELEASE : STRAND 2 PLENARY MEETING OF 21 SEPTEMBER 1992

At a meeting this morning in Dublin Castle, Plenary considered a further progress report from the Committee which had been established on 2 September to consider fundamental aspects of the problem including channels of communication, terrorism and security cooperation, issues of identity and allegiance and constitutional matters. Plenary accepted the report and requested the Committee to complete its initial consideration of these fundamental matters and proceed to subsequent agenda items. A further report will be made to Plenary either towards the end of the current sittings in Dublin or next week in Belfast.
