United States Bill of Rights 1789 (2021 Edition)

William Maclay

(20 July 1737–16 April 1804) Surveyor, legislator, and U.S. Senator. During the American Revolution, he served in the Continental Army as a commissary. His most important contribution was the keeping of a diary, which provides insight into the politics of the First Federal Congress as it implemented the Constitution.
