United States Fifteenth Amendment

Nathan F. Dixon

(1 May, 1812 -- 11 April, 1881) Dixon was an American lawyer, banker, and politician. Born in Westerly, R.I., Dixon studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1837. Dixon was a member of the State house of representatives 1841-1849, 1851-1854, 1858-1862, and 1871-1877. Dixon was elected as a Whig to the Thirty-first Congress and later as a Republican to the Thirty-eighth and to the three succeeding Congresses.
