Lambert Cadwalader

(1743 – 13 September 1823) Revolutionary war soldier, merchant, and delegate to the Continental Congress and the U.S. Congress. In 1765, responding to the Stamp Act, Cadwalader signed a merchants’ agreement to boycott English goods. He was a delegate to the provincial convention in Pennsylvania, the State constitutional convention, the Continental Congress, and the first and third Congresses as a delegate for New Jersey.
