(1819 -- May 1, 1866) Johnston was an Irish American lawyer and politician. Born in Ireland, Johnston studied law, was admitted to the bar, and practiced from 1859 to 1863. Johnston was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-eighth Congress and did not succeed reelection.
