(8 August 1735 – 6 February 1806) Clergyman, delegate to the Continental Congress, and member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Foster represented New Hampshire in the Continental Congress and in the House of Representatives in the First U.S. Congress. He then returned to the New Hampshire Senate until he was elected again to the U.S. House of Representatives.
