Whereas R. R. Butler, Representative-elect from the first congressional district of Tennessee, performed honorable service in the Army of the United States from September, 1863, till May, 1864: Therefore,

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States in Congress assembled, That the disabilities imposed upon Roderick R. Butler of Tennessee, by force of the act of Congress entitled “An act to provide for the more efficient government of the rebel States,” passed March 2, 1867, and the act of Congress supplementary thereto, passed March 23, 1867, and the act supplementary thereto, passed July 19, 1867, and by any provision of the Constitution of the United States, are hereby removed.
