John R. McBride

United States Thirteenth Amendment 1863-65

(22 August, 1832 -- 20 July, 1904) McBride was an American lawyer and politician. Born in St. Louis, Mo., McBride moved to Oregon in 1851 with his family. McBride studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1855. McBride participated as a delegate in the State constitutional convention in 1857. McBride was elected as a Republican to the Thirty-eighth Congress.
